    Installing the JIP Modem

    A. Simple Guide for Installing a JIP modem

    Step 1. Customers who have purchased the JIP Prepaid Kit directly from NexLogic should follow these simple steps in order to setting up their modem and connecting to the Internet for the first time.

    Step 2. Get the modem unit, LAN cable, coaxial cable and power supply adapter ready from the box.

    Step 3. Take one end of the coaxial cable connected by your CATV provider from the outside of the house and carefully connect it to the coaxial cable port labeled CABLE at the back of the modem.

    Step 4. If you have an existing, active cable TV subscription- get the included coaxial cable from the modem box. Connect the cable to the coaxial cable port labeled “TV” at the back of the modem. Connect the other end of the cable to your TV.

    Step 5. Plug-in the included power supply into the wall socket. Connect the other end to the modem’s Power Supply port.

    Step 6. Press the Power Switch at the back of the modem to turn on the device. Once the following light indicators are turned-on: PWR, WIFI, CAB and EOC- your modem is now ready to connect your devices to the Internet.

    B. How to Connect to Wifi

    Step 1. Go to the Settings of your smartphone, tablet or computer and turn on the Wifi connection of your device.

    Step 2. Click and connect to the Wifi access point name “RL-SSID1”

    Step 3. Enter the Network Security key found at the bottom of your modem.

    Step 4. Your device is now connected to the Internet!

    C. Change Wifi Name and Password

    Step 1. Connect your device to the modem and open a web browser. Type into the navigation bar, the default URL address of the modem admin panel: 192.168.1.1 and press enter.

    Step 2. Enter the modem admin panel by typing “useradmin” for the USERNAME and “drlec” for the PASSWORD. Click the Login button to enter.

    Step 3. Click on the NETWORK TAB. Click on the SSID field and change the default value “RL-SSID1” to whatever name you want.

    Step 4. Click on the WPA KEY field and change the default value “wdrltcec” to whatever password you want. The length of the new password should be more than 8 characters but less than 64 characters in length.
